this week was a slow one. school was o-k-a-y, been sticking around with my poly mates in school. the chances of getting to mix with the JC students are rather slim cause like us, they have their own cliques. besides, we seldom get to talk once the lecture start because everyone will be busily listening, taking down notes, ect. whereas for me, i often end up somewhere else. it's only the first week of school and i can feel the approaching stress. whatever the case, i know i'll still have to pull through these 3 years.
Thurday - there's a bazaar held right outside our LT and there happen to be a palm reading booth. many of my friends went to try it out and all agreed that the readings were pretty accurate. so out of curiousity, i went to get mine too. he told me that i have a the palm of a psychic and that i often do things based on my intuition. he also mentioned about how i always think too much and how persistent i am when it comes to matter of the heart, refusing to let go. you're a hopeless romantic, thats what he told me.
right after lesson that day, xiaoling and i went to attend the wind symphony welcome tea party, hoping that they can let us pick up a new instrument. but sadly, we can't. so xiaoling went back home while i stayed on to join them for the band practice. which i think i only managed to play a few holding notes. haha. i didnt stay for long because i was meeting the girls to go to the ntu bash at mos.
that night, shyni and i was on an ultra high mode after taking a couple of drinks. yt said she couldnt believe what she saw. i must have went a little insane but it felt great to be able to let loose.

had a post-nday celebration cum mini gathering over at my place yesterday. food was prepared by my dad and my mom helped to order some finger food for us. it was real fun to have them all over here, i'm missing the good old days we had back then. everything were so simple and carefree then. during dinner, the ns men had lots to share again. i'm beginning to pick up some terms frequently used in ns from them already. and i can finally understand why some of them rather go on biscuits for days during outfield. their food ration taste horrible! it looks sticky and smells funny. yikes. i can never imagined myself eating that for days, really. after dinner, a group of them started the game of life while the rest just slack around. i had half round of monopoly with serene and ruwei, then went on to entertain the guys with my childhood photos. and thanks to me, they had a good time laughing and teasing at how chubby my sister and i were. lol. we then rummaged through the laptop to look for funny videos to laugh at. i guess we are just a bunch of people deprived of funny and interesting stuffs la.
i practically dragged myself out of bed this afternoon due to a sudden pang of hunger. and got a call from kj asking to join them for lunch but i remembered there'r still a lot of leftover from yesterday. so in the end, they came over to help me cleared the leftover. thank goodness, if not i'm gonna eat that same fried beehoon for duno how many days. they'r off to tekong again. and my holiday is over! how sad...

Wednesdayyet another, joyous occasion. Singapore's 41st birthday! i love festive season cause it gives me every reason to gorge on good food. screw the calories! finally got to meet up with Ryan for a late lunch at takashimaya. the 70 driving practicals (read: 70) he took definately didn't come to waste, at least he managed to drive up/down the slope to/from the carpark safely without stalling the engine and having the car to roll down. so i shouldn't worry so much too cause it's okay if i were to take up to 80 practicals to get my driving license. haha! alright la, i should stop the mocking. afterall, he was trying to give me some encouragement. anyway, not long after that heavy lunch, i found myself gorging on more food at fish & co. this time it's with holly, serene, xueni, mingshi and xinzhan. after dinner, we joined the crowd at esplanade, hoping to catch a glimpse of the fireworks but somehow we missed it. alittle dissappointed. nevertheless, i still got home happily with a fully loaded stomach. =)
Thursday nothing can stop me from shopping, really. bought a top from forever21. saw two really pretty dresses but i'm too broke! hai can't wait for school to start cause it means resume of my monthly allowance. i felt a great sense of satisfaction today cause i took the great effort to mop the house and clean the toilet. don't ask me why, i don't know what came into me. after the sweeping, mopping and scrubbing i felt like i had just shed off the calorie of a cake! lol okay. exaggerated. perhaps just the calories of an itsy bitsy slice of cake.
To serene: stay strong alright & not let your heart falter!

it's been a while. and things have certainly changed, i'm feeling much better already. say goodbye to the one who like to wallow in self pity. haha. right now, i just kick back and enjoy my last bit of holiday before school officially starts. i'm so not looking forward to going back to school, the planning of timetable and bidding of electives are enough to drive me nuts. aye just why do they have to make things so complicated for us.
the nus dragon boat called up the other day to tell me about the fun row tomorrow and asked if i could join. i didn't dare to reject so i told them i'll be there. but seriously, do i look like a dragon boater?
